October Owl Prowl
Friday, October 23, 2015
We begin our journey for the day by departing from Chester Center at 8:30 a.m. (Parking available near the old Pizza Hut building) Additional pick up available at our Evansville and Red Bud (1320 W Market) locations.
First, we will visit the Butterfly House located in Chesterfield, MO which features the OWL butterfly in addition to 80 species and nearly 2,000 free flying tropical butterflies. Our visit will last about 1 hour so be sure to take time to enjoy the 17 minute original film The Butterfly Effect. Don’t miss the Butterflies of the World exhibit and visit the Madame Butterfly gift shop. We will take a group photo in front of the 28 foot Mysterious Monarch located outside.
Next, it’s on to Kimmswick, MO where we dine as a group at the BLUE OWL RESTAURANT for lunch. Famous for their Levee High Apple Pie, this cinnamony creation is just one of 20-plus varieties of pie available. Several choices of entrees are available on the Group Trio Menu including various soups, salads, sandwiches, and quiche combinations and of course, a piece of pie from the Award-Winning Bakery. Beverage, tax and gratuity also included.
After lunch enjoy the many gift shops and unique stores within the four block area in Kimmswick before we migrate home at 4:00 p.m.
